Centro Espresso Bar are in King Street opposite the Grace Hotel. I stopped mid morning for a takeaway coffee. Not mind blowing, but not bad.

Benz on York Cafe, Sydney
Now Benz on York Cafe was a real surprise. Very basic. Typical in..out sort of place no frills. I was looking for something light like soup and was grateful that it was on the menu. The usual Pumpkin was available, but I'm getting fed up with that...everyone seems to do Pumpkin soup for lunch, although these guys add a little curry flavour...well, according to the menu board. Anyway I gambled on the Chicken, Chicpea and Tomato soup. The waitress was quite sweet and she insisted on bringing me a glass of water. Nice, with a straw and a slice of lemon. The soup was great. Hearty and flavorsome. The butter was a bit mean on the bread, but then this is Australia and I love loads of butter. But to my surprise I was offered a small complimentary plate of fruit. Just a taster, nothing flash, but the gesture was well received and all for $8.50.
Coffee in York Street
Tried Cozy Cafe in York Street, Sydney this morning. Don't recommend it for a coffee. It was warm and tasteless. I took one sip and left the rest. Needed a fix so went further along the road to Taglio. Mainly a Pizza restaurant open for light breakfast. Good coffee and the place was nice and warm thanks to the very effective heater.
